Growing up in Ireland.
Catherine started dance at age 5. attending the renowned Aodh Rua School,
and she quickly showed her promise and ability by winning numerous
championships throughout the country. This culminated in her winning the all
Ireland title at age nine one of the youngest competitors to ever win this
prestigious event. Success continued with countless medals at World
Championships and it was obvious that she had a very bright future in dance.
With the advent of Riverdance Catherine's talents were called upon for a
National Touring Company of North America, and she spent the next two years
travelling with the show from coast to coast.
From Riverdance she moved on to another show 'Celtic Fusion' continuing to
tour the United States. With the growing popularity of Irish dance
throughout the World. Catherine saw an opening in Hungary and came here in
2000 to set up a school and share her expertise. As word spread of her new
school she was innundated with requests to join and it soon became necessary
to set up a waiting list for prospective students. Calls for performances
led her to establishing 'Steps Of The Celts' a professional dance group
consisting of only her best students.
Today she continues to travel throughout Hungary with her shows while still
juggling the demands of running a highly successful dance school. Catherine
was not the only member of her family to fid a career in dance as her three
brothers tour with both Riverdance and Lord Of The Dance.
Steps Of The Celts

involve mind numbing speed and grace and her shows have been performed at
everything from the opening of hotels to private parties.

prospective students to travel to Budapest.
